Katherine Rockhill is an accomplished pianist who has worked with many high-profile musicians throughout her career. One of her most notable collaborations has been with the renowned Welsh mezzo-soprano, Katherine Jenkins.
Rockhill’s association with Jenkins began in 2012, when she performed as part of the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) alongside Jenkins. The two continued to perform together as part of both the NSO and the London Concert Orchestra on a number of tours.
Rockhill’s talents as a pianist did not go unnoticed by Jenkins, and in 2021, Rockhill was asked to become not only Jenkins’ pianist but also her Musical Director for her most recent tour, “Cinema Paradiso.” This tour featured a collection of songs from the world’s best-loved movie moments, and Jenkins wanted a very intimate sound with a magical atmosphere, which was achieved through a string quintet with Rockhill on piano.
Since then, Rockhill has accompanied Jenkins on many cruises around Europe and other concert visits, including a recent whirlwind concert visit to Palm Springs, California. Her skillful accompaniment and musical direction have helped to create unforgettable performances that have delighted audiences around the world.
