During her time at the Royal College of Music, Katherine, who was already highly accomplished, had the privilege of being invited twice to perform at Sandringham House for none other than Prince Charles, now King Charles.
Upon arrival at Sandringham House, she was given the royal treatment, staying in the most luxurious of rooms that made her feel like royalty herself. The attention to detail and the elegance of the surroundings were truly breathtaking, leaving her awestruck and humbled in equal measure.
During one of her visits, she had the surreal experience of watching the film ‘The Madness of King George’ with King Charles himself in the room. It was a moment that felt almost too unbelievable to be true, and one that she will always cherish. She was struck by his warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in the music that she was performing.
Performing at Sandringham House was truly an unforgettable experience that left a lasting impression on me. It was an honor to perform for such a distinguished audience, and I will always be grateful for the opportunity to share music with them in such a majestic setting.
