During her final year at the Royal College of Music (RCM), Katherine’s was honored with the college’s most prestigious award, the Tagore Gold Medal. This award was given to one female and one male student from the same year group who showed exceptional musical talent and dedication. Her opposite number in the year group was John Wilson, who would later become the creator and conductor of the ‘John Wilson Orchestra’.
It was an honor to be recognized by the RCM in this way, and it gave me a great sense of pride. I am still grateful for the recognition was a significant milestone in my life, and it gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams.
