Katherine was delighted to receive an invitation to work as a Piano Musical Director for the production of Famous Five the Musical. The show, which was a joint production between Theatr Clwyd and Chichester Festival Theatre, boasted an impressive creative team including music and lyrics by Theo Jamieson and book by Elinor Cook.
Katherine was excited to take on the challenge of not only MD-ing from the piano, but also playing the technically demanding and fun piano part that Theo had written for the show. She knew that the role would be demanding from the outset. The team was committed to making the musical the best it could be.
Throughout the rehearsals and performances, Katherine greatly enjoyed working with Theo. She was impressed by his talent and skill as a composer and musician, as well as his sense of humor and easygoing nature. Together, they worked to perfect the piano part, ensuring that it was both technically demanding and precise in feel.
